Family Advocacy/Victim Advocate Support

Victim advocates are trained professionals and volunteers that offer non clinical support to victims of crime. Such as, emotional support, finding and referring clients to resources, advocate on behalf of a client in court, and accompany victims and their family members through the criminal justice proceeding.  In addition, victim advocacy provides crisis intervention, information on legal right and protections, assist with safety planning, funeral and memorial arrangements, and assist with navigating the medical system.
